About Me

Hi, and welcome to Fourth Grade! My name is Brittany Gieseke and I am so excited to be joining the staff at Pine View. I come to Pine View with an abundance of experience at various elementary schools. The majority of my teaching career has taken place in Fairfax County, Virginia where I taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade. I also served as an ESL resource teacher (grades K-6) with a focus on language arts instruction. Additionally, I have taught English in Cambodia and China. This will be my 9th year teaching, and I am so looking forward to a new beginning at Pine View.

I graduated the University of Central Florida with a major in Elementary Education and an ESL endorsement. I am currently pursuing my masters degree from the University of South Florida, majoring in Instructional Technology with a focus on curriculum development. I am passionate about teaching and I will do my best each day to provide students with relevant knowledge, the courage to try new things, the curiosity to seek new answers, and the ability to be the best that they can be. We will have a lot of fun in the process!

On a personal note, I am a Sarasota native and attended Pine View myself. I have so many happy memories at Pine View, as it is where I met my husband, and all of my closest friends. I am so happy to be back in Sarasota after 12 years away, there truly is no place like home. In my free time, you can find me outdoors. I love to hike, surf, scuba dive, and kayak. I am also extremely passionate about traveling and learning about different cultures. This summer I was fortunate enough to visit my 30th country, Honduras.

I am looking forward to working with your family this school year. I can't wait to get to know your child and watch them grow as learners!
